Heads-up: Key plot points for the latest installment of this adventure follow below.
The Warrior Group Introduced
Episode 3 concluded with a major cliffhanger and presented the initial group of adventurers who will split off from the central cast to begin their independent quest, apart from the remaining groups.
This warrior group features Teor Pridesire (played by Travis), the agile character (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
Why Split the Party?
With 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that keeping everyone at a single group would be impossible.
This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three separate parties: Fighters, Schemers, and Explorers.
What Defines the Soldiers Table
Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged battle-oriented gameplay experience where diplomatic options are few and far between.
Initially, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might appear out of place, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
First, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a violent initial meeting with the antagonists.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose passing kicked off the narrative’s action—exploited The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, invading Thjazi’s hideout, striking the rogue, and stealing all the magical artifacts to auction.
Casimir then settled his debts and ran away to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Character Drivers
Moreover, each member has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as the companion and trusted friend, desires revenge.
- Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and advises that it is a nasty environment.
- Tyranny and The cleric, having resisted his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
- But, their status as prominent individuals in the powerful family could assist the group access places they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him anywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are wanted by the authorities that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making lingering locally too risky:
- The rogue and The character are known criminals.
- The warrior and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
- The fighter is wanted dead by the family.
This leaves them no alternative but to head to the northern region in quest for the traitor.
